THSC has zero-tolerance of child abuse and is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation where all children are valued and protected from abuse, including indigenous children, those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and children and adults with disability.

The wellbeing and safety of children and young people who attend swimming, services, programs, and events delivered by THSC will always be our priority and we will act to ensure a safe environment is maintained for all children and young people.

THSC’s commitment is embedded in the everyday thinking and practice of its Directors, Managers, Employees, Contractors and Volunteers.

THSC encourages the voices of our community in the delivery of swimming lessons, services, programs and events, procedures, and management of facilities and in reporting inappropriate behaviour. Children have the right to speak and be heard always.

It is essential that everyone involved in THSC including parents and students understand the important responsibilities they have in relation to child safety, and we are committed to educating our community in this regard.
